About the Role
Mint Health + Drugs is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role you will be serving individuals experiencing significant health and social vulnerabilities. Our pharmacies work closely with community partners and non-profit organizations to support individuals facing complex barriers to healthcare, including mental health challenges, substance use disorders, housing instability, and poverty.

Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree
• ACP license in good standing
• APA preferred
• Current CPR Certification valid in Alberta
• ISTM is considered an asset
• Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection is considered an asset
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required + Clean Criminal Record Check
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and dispense drugs
• Assess new and repeat prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy
• Consistently apply medication management principles
• Educating patients on medication use (provide medication counselling)
• Assist pharmacy staff
• Communicate with customers and other healthcare professionals to optimize therapy
• Develop plans to monitor patient progress and therapeutic outcomes
• Document clinical interventions and communicate with healthcare providers – Patient-Centered Care
• Utilize trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches
• Connect patients with community resources when appropriate
Experience & Skills
• Ability to adhere to regulatory compliance
• Strong organizational and operational oversight skills
• Expertise in medication management and patient care
• Be able to provide support and mentor pharmacy technicians, assistants, students, and interns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in managing pharmacy inventory
• Knowledge of Kroll software system is considered an asset
